The Cantillon Brewery has just celebrated its one-hundredth anniversary and remains the only active brewery in Brussels which is open to the public. In order to achieve its aim of preserving the name and reputation of the lambic as well as some other beers from the same family, the brewery decided, in 1978, to open its facilities to the public and to become the Brussels Gueuze Museum. The brewery produces the Cantillon beers (gueuze, kriek, lambic, faro, framboise, Iris). As well as guided tours, brewing sessions in public take place twice a year. This live museum has Jean-Pierre Van Roy as its master brewer who keeps the family tradition alive. They also boast a star in the Michelin Guide. The Cantillon Brewery has just celebrated its one-hundredth anniversary and remains the only active brewery in Brussels which is open to the public.
